Reunion 2022 News

Philadelphia, PA

Details are still being worked out.

As you know, the COVID19 situation has turned things upside down. As a result, the CARVER Reunion Committee has rescheduled the CARVER reunion to late 2022 - we are expecting to use the following dates, September 15 - 17, 2022; awaiting confirmation from the hotel.

For those that already paid via check, please let Bart Moore know if you would like to have the check deposited and held for the rescheduled reunion or to cancel the check.

If you already made room reservations at the casino for the 2021 reunion, you will need to cancel tremor you may be charged.

Message below from past Reunion Committee President, Bill Vasquez:

The theme for our Carver Reunion 2021 was originally twofold. First, it was to celebrate our 10th get-together, and second, it was to celebrate the 25th anniversary of our first reunion. Today, I am asking that we add a third theme in memory of Mike Brown who passed on in early 2020. Until his death, Mike was right in there driving hard to get our reunion together - just as he did for all reunions since our first one in 1996.

On patrol, Mike was always active in "halfway Night" and other fun activities, so it was natural that he would be a key player in our reunion activities. He and I and our reunion committee successfully pulled seven reunions together - and Mike was always the driving force.

Mike was always creative, diligent, and persistent. He would creatively come up with an entire reunion program, including receptions, banquets, breakout sessions, and tours. Then he would diligently seek out participants, venues, providers, speakers, and even entertainment to support his program. Finally, he would then fill in any gaps by focusing on details like brochures, gifts, snacks, and even things like table centerpieces. All this time, I would be his "straight man" doing whatever I could to help.

So, to sum up, Mike was pivotal in bringing our reunions to where they are today and it is with a hand salute that I wish him "fair winds and following seas". At Reunion 2022, Let's make sure we acknowledge all that Mike did to make Carver Reunions "The Best in the Fleet!"

Thank you,

CARVER Reunion Committee.
